By installing or using the EH!TV app, you agree to abide by the terms of this EH!TV Privacy Policy, as outlined below (this “Policy”). If you do not agree, do not install or use the EH!TV app. The Policy describes the kinds of information that may be collected through the EH!TV app and what EH!tel Networks Inc. (“EH!tel”) may be required to do with the information.
Acceptable Use Policy or AUP: Sets out the policy to which usage of the Services provided to the Customer by EH!tel shall be subject. The Customer shall not use or permit usage of any Service in a manner that violates EH!tel’s Acceptable Use Policy. The Acceptable Use Policy is Appendix C to the Master Services Agreement.
Information Collected
In order to use the EH!TV app, you must be a subscriber to EH!tel. television service being delivered by EH!tel which has deployed Minerva’s software platform. The EH!TV app collects the following types of information:
1. In order to activate the EH!TV app, you must provide your username and password that identifies you to EH!tel. No additional personal information is required.
2. When you use the EH!TV app, it will be able to identify which services you are entitled to (free or paid) and how you are using the service provided through the app, including what programming you are watching, what programs have been scheduled or have been recorded through a DVR (Digital Video Recorder) service, search usage, and program bookmarks (where you started or stopped watching a particular program). The EH!TV app also captures information about the type of device on which the app is installed.
3. The application uses the device IP address to determine if a specific piece of content may be played on that device from the IP address. The IP address is not stored. Precise geolocation information is not used.
4. The application collects free text data to perform searches, add text labels to profiles and user created lists. This information is stored on servers and retrieved by the application for each user session.
How the Information is Used
None of the information collected through the EH!TV app is provided to Minerva or otherwise tracked or maintained by Minerva.
All of the information collected through the EH!TV app is provided to EH!tel, which is providing the television service you are accessing through the EH!TV app. EH!tel, uses the information at least to confirm that you are a current subscriber to their service and may use it for other purposes.
Data Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information collected through the EH!TV app.
As described above, the EH!TV app allows EH!tel to collect information about you and your use of the EH!TV app, including what programming you are watching, what programs have been scheduled, etc.
Notice of Changes
EH!tel may amend this Policy from time to time by posting the updated terms on this page. In addition, if we make any material changes in this Policy, we will include a notice to that effect in the EH!TV app. Your continued use of the EH!TV app after the effective date of any change in this Policy constitutes your agreement to such changes.
